I have what I think is a an interesting coincidence and I am looking for some advice.
I am a developer who was working on a music centric application 2 years ago. We bought several domains since we were unsure of what name we would go with for branding.
Wemixx.com was one of the possible names, but we decided to go with something else. I have been trying to sell the domains for a couple of months now. Within the last couple of days/weeks I started getting hits everyday on the parked page. Even pulling in some ad revenue from the sedo program.
I did a quick google search and found the the rapper Ludicris has a new music venture at wemix.com. An article was written about the site on BET online that links to my domain wemixx.com instead of the correct one. Its been directing a steady flow of traffic, not counting the people accidentally mis-spelling the domain.
So, as I am not in the domain business, being strictly in the app business, what would you guys advise me to do with it. Is there money in selling it out right? I have had the desire to sell it for several months( I beleive I even posted here about it, but that was before the ludicris site came out) but now I am wondering if I should just keep it.
