I heard that someone make $35k out of $5 from this the domain georgewbushpresidentiallibrary.com ???

Ok, here is my question:

last year i had to give up the domain owner right to Rolex USA because i was holding preownedrolex.com without getting a penny back.

what was the deal there? I didnt even do nor develop the site yet. It was a parked domain.

Please let me know whether it was a "correct" action from Rolex USA or I was stupid back then because I didnt even try to sell to them?

Yep, I have also wondered over why the staff of Bush didn't go through wipo to get the domain for free.

I guess that shows something about Bush and the people he was around no wonder US economy is like it is.

Apparently it wasn't the Bush people taking care of the domain.

A web development company was entrusted with the domain management
and let it expire.

They must have felt obligated to get the domain back no matter what.

Either they didn't know about filing a UDRP or didn't want to take a chance
on the panelist(s) decision.

It cost them $35,000 but they got the domain back.

You're seriously going to get varying answers, ranging from it was the correct
decision to being a foolish one. At the end of the day, only you can decide on
your own whether you took the "correct" action or not.

The George Bush Library thing was a lucky one-time deal for the one who sold
it to them. Others...might not be so lucky.
