hi guys, so I just registered domains under the word "claimings" I think its a good idea but not so sure because I am still new to this. By the way, I was going to register the dot com, but I waited too long and someone else got to it >:(..the online appraisal from domain mongrel said 71,000 dollars on that one, and I still didn't buy it, until I saw it was gone,
so I went ahead and registered

claimings.biz
claimings.info
claimings.org
claimings.org
claimings.net

I also backordered the dot com but im not sure if I can sell that along with the bundle ? still went ahead and did it anyways to get a bulk deal on godaddy. anyways, my question is how could I sell these domains to get the most out of them ?

Let me say it....you will not make it in this game. You keep "selling" the domain to yourself and the more you keep thinking it is a good name the more you still have to learn about domains in general.

Read up A LOT on here before you buy your next domain name.

I have to agree with this you should spend allot more time reading on the forums before regging domains. What i started doing when i was new to the game and still do as im newish is i get a notebook and i write the names of domains down that i think are good. Then you can revisit these domains once you have spent allot more time reading the forums.

to be honest I did read through(probably not enough) before I purchased, and I factored in other things such as keyword search, basic common sense and looking at other domains that were sold, I got swindled with the claimings.com, partially because I had it written down and I didn't register it because I wanted to research more, like scottmb was saying, i actually write and record hiphop music so i kinda have a thing with words, and a lot of spare paper :P..i didn't pay too much attention to the fact that claimings.com had an estimated value of 71,000 (on a certain appraisal site)...because my first domain i registered "hiphopdead.com" had an estibot value of 1900 and i sold it for 75 bucks...so i know appraisals take in key factors but, they also don't ever guarantee a sale, i know certain domains have value you can spot right of the bat because of rareness or cpc, backlinks, pr ratings and more..theres also the obvious number domains that are almost impossible to get even up to 5 characters..and LLLs but i was more interested in handreging some of my first ones and seeing if i could make something of it..i got a bit agitated at the fact that claimings.com got registered after i already thought of it, so that's what made me go and buy the rest, also the forum on here about ings...ill be happy if i at least make my money back on those ones..willtheworldend.com i personally like just because of the type of music im into and where the world is headed in my eyes, plus the keywords and domain value were good so i decided to go ahead and register, i was surprised to find out more people ask the question when will the world end than type in will the world end on google but yeah i have a lot to learn i know, i will read more and watch more about it and get better at picking

Your on the right track texx. Just do your research and learn from the mistakes other domainers have made here at NamePros so that you don't have to make the same ones over again. This community is here to help in many ways. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask. You may stumble upon a few grumpy domainers on this site from time to time. But for the most part, we are all here willing to help you get into the industry if you are really interested in learning about it.

If claimings.com was so good it would of been snapped up along time ago another thing is it probably wouldn't of been available in so many other extensions, its still free to reg in co.uk and many others but I wouldn't reg it. Also free appraisals are useless I could prob type in 5 random letters and get a $5000 one.

The above is true. The whole dictionary has been scanned and churned to death multiple times for many years by countless speculators. Many obscure dictionary keywords with no practical use are even taken. So if you find a 'generic' available in .com, it's likely that it doesn't have a lot of resale potential.
