hi guys, so I just registered domains under the word "claimings" I think its a good idea but not so sure because I am still new to this. By the way, I was going to register the dot com, but I waited too long and someone else got to it >:(..the online appraisal from domain mongrel said 71,000 dollars on that one, and I still didn't buy it, until I saw it was gone,
so I went ahead and registered

claimings.biz
claimings.info
claimings.org
claimings.org
claimings.net

I also backordered the dot com but im not sure if I can sell that along with the bundle ? still went ahead and did it anyways to get a bulk deal on godaddy. anyways, my question is how could I sell these domains to get the most out of them ?

waste on cash, imo

don't go around using domain appraisal tools, to use as basis for registering domaian names in the future.

really ? why is that, I know domain appraisal tools aren't 100% accurate because at the end of the day you need to find a buyer, but you really think these names are worthless ?

yes i do

what is "claimings", what can you do with it, how can you develop into viable website?

why would anyone want those names, for what purpose?

those are questions you should ask yourself, before buying.

imo...

I was thinking a site where people claim items, or maybe like a government auction site, or something along those lines..

Hmm..lots of things can be claimed, whoever bought it claims they will make the site into something
"cool",that's what it says on the newly created site, I wonder what they're planning on doing with it...claimings could be related to tax claims possibly, anything lost or stolen can be claimed, and you can also claim unclaimed money..

That's the godaddy hosting default page. e.g.

claimings

If you like financial term "ings" domains, these .coms are available at time of posting.

profitings.com
balancings.com
invoicings.com
exchangings.com

Post them on Flippa and their fees will either eat into your profits
or they won't sell for much above what you paid for them all if
they do sell.

You're better off listing them here for free...

Maybe you can see if the owner of the .COM version would be
interested.

why are these such bad names ? I will look into that..

Flippa fees are $29 for the listing and then you also have
to pay a success fee if they sell. So you're looking at a minimum of $39+ plus in fees.
IMHO I don't see these domains selling for much over that.

Of course, I could be wrong. You can take a chance and list them there but that's $29 you won't get back.
And if you don't sell them then they'll stick you with another $15 in fees if you want to relist them again.

hmm..i really feel confident in these names, but I don't know enough about domains yet to even say that lol...something tells me they can sell for a lot though, it really is a broad word and can be targeted and marketed in so many ways..i just don't really have the knowhow,
thanks

I would say to go with your gut. It seems like you made a small investment on this batch of names. Now if your looking to sell it a certain way, go for it. Part of the business is finding out on your own what works best. If they don't sell, then you will eat a small loss and move on. If they sell for a nice price, then great. I like the fact that you made an investment in a small batch of names instead of going hog wild registering all kinds of names without truly knowing their value. Let us know how you make out. :)

I've sold some pretty good domains on Flippa for lowball prices...
(of course everyone thinks their domain is awesome :))

I'm interested in seeing how these sell there...
Hope you keep us updated.

You could always try ebay. The listing fees are cheaper and you will probably be able to recoup the cost of the domains.

posted em on ebay, and a bunch of others, thanks

another question, what do you think about willtheworldend.com
I know its negative but it has a high keyword search, not as high as "will"theworldend.com
but its still high
I managed to sell the domain hiphopdead.com on flippa...didn't get as much as I wanted for it, but I sill made some profit,
anyways aside from the whole claimings thing, what do you guys think of willtheworldend.com ?

On your eBay listing...
Never put anything in your description about you not wanting to develop a domain..
It's kind of like saying "These domains are great but not good enough for me to use."
It's just not a good sales tone... IMHO.
