Established Need opinions on www.yourpokerhand.com

Hi,

I have a developed poker site: www.yourpokerhand.com (I realize a few internal pages need to be completed yet) that I have been trying to sell for the 2.3-2.5k range. It has decent content and a good number of inbound links (162 at last count) but doesnt get a ton of traffic (20 uniques a day or so) because I havent really optimized or completed those extra pages yet. The home page is PR1 (due to a redesign and all internal pages are PR3 or higher).

It has reffered many 'Fun' Players to the various online poker rooms, but has not generated any revenue in the past 12 months. (Site is 2 years old)

Can somebody tell me what is wrong and why I am having trouble selling this site? I have seen WORSE poker-related DOMAINS ALONE sell for almost as much, or more, than I am asking for a non-sandboxed, traffic generating, developed poker site. I cant figure it out!!!

Can someone shed some light on this? Any observations/constructive criticism is very much appreciated!

Well for the site to be worth that much, I'd want far more than 20 visits per day - more like 1,000.

And if you have no revenue, how do you expect the buyer to make their purchase back? No one is going to buy a site just because it looks nice, they will want to make money from it. So if you haven't been able to, how will they?

I'd value your site at around $3-500, maybe the domain is worth a bit to add to this.

500 is the max right now. Traffic would be key. Site looks a little boxish as well. For example I sold the website www.tournamentspecialist.com which is much more intricate and complete for your asking price and I put alot of work into optimizing and getting traffic.

Thanks for the comments...my two cents:

tournamentspecialist is definitely a nice site, however it seems to be using a common template (correct me if I'm wrong) that a lot of other so-called 'turn-key' sites use. It also appears to have no original content (Syndicated News feeds and articles from other sites/authors) Again, I am not trying to bash your site--it has a very nice design and may get more traffic than my site--BUT I have 30 original articles and 162 inbound links that took me about a year to complete.

chimera--If you think you can get a site with 1000 uniques per day for the 2K range, please let me know because I will quadruple that! A poker/gambling site that gets 1000 uniques per day is worth a fortune-believe me.
