Need help with e-gold

i am new to e-gold.. i just plan to use it for making small transaction because paypal cahrges a fees of .30 per transaction which is too much..

please tell me the following :

1. if i recieve money from someone through e-gold then how much fees does e-gold charge from ME and from the SELLER

2. if i pay to someone else then how much will i be charged for that?

1. there are no fees for receiving through e-gold.
2. if you are sending someone money, then the fees are dependent on amount and metal: http://www.e-gold.com/unsecure/fees.htm

3. you are charged monthly for a "holding" fee; "The Agio Fee is the e-gold system equivalent of an account maintenance fee. It is deducted in monthly installments, calculated based on average daily balance since last assessed."

if you begin to hold a large balance in e-gold, the monthly fee is a pain.

the whole fees chart went above my head

suppose i plan to buy 4$ from someone at namepros. and after keeping that in my balance i plan to transfer the money to someone else..

how much will be my costs incurred on this?

assuming that the sender has paid the transaction fee, you will have $4 in your EG balance. the fees that will be charged to you when you send your balance to someone else, depends on which e-metal your $4 is in (ie, gold, silver, platinum,...).

let's say that your balance is in gold, and $4 is equal to 1-5 (troy oz.?) of gold, then the fees that will be deducted is 1% ($0.04).
