Hi, I am quite new to domain trading, and I have 3 domains with me. Unable to sell it. Could you guys let me know the appraisal of these domains and any feedbacks?

  1. Try setting the domains to park either in sedo or DAN.
  2. Try setting fixed price for your domains. In DAN, you have option to do both - even after setting fixed price, you can have the option of requesting offers as well.
I like webjnr among the three. I will let more experienced domainers comment on what could be a fair price to put for these domains, as I dont have much experience on this.

Good luck!

Thank you, I will probably park the domains in Dan.

Hey @grandninja. Welcome to NamePros!

I'm going to value these three domains at registration fee value, simply because I can't find any good prospective buyers for them. As such, I wouldn't spend a lot of time marketing them, and would instead list them at a low BIN price on Afternic, Sedo, and DAN (as mentioned by @DNPanther above).

Ideally, you want to invest in names that are one of the following:
  • Good business names (look for evidence of similar existing business names)
  • Good promotional names (includes call-to-action names and exact match products or services)
  • Liquid names (such as 3L, 4L, and desirable single word names)
It's important to understand the characteristics of these names, why they sell, how to sell them, and how to buy them. Most of us on the forum recommend doing a lot of reading before buying too many names, so I suggest the same. There's a ton of information on here, and members are usually happy to help steer you in the right direction. Just be prepared to put in a lot of time and leg work to find your own style and strengths.

Good luck!

Thank you, it was actually helpful. I think I overestimated the value of my domains. I think I need to do more research before buying. For now, I'll probably list webjnr a little higher than the registration value and see. Thank you once again, @Joe Nichols and @DNPanther
