Need help..php..simple answer to everyone else..but not me.

I am installing a php script for my website.....it installs fine but the problem i am having is when i go to ... XXXXXXX.com it will not come up (it reads a standard http 404 error)
but when i go to XXXXXXX.com/index it comes up......

I deleted the install file....

If you have any idea as to why this is happening the help would be appreciated.

if it is index.php maybe in your control panel index.php is not set as index able
first delete and index.php that you do not wish to go to then in your .htaccess file add the line

DirectoryIndex index.php

ok....check this....can some one go to this website and tell me if it comes up to the normal main page for noah's classifieds.....
