Help, I need some advice. I bought this domain name thinking Magnetic electirc technology. All the extensions were open so I bought .com .net .org. After pruchasing I did some searchng and discovered that there is a possible company in thailand that has this as their name. It almost looks like the company is defunct.

How can I tell if I am in any sort of TM violation?

Does anybody out there see any other issues I might be running into with this name... It originally sounded good in my head..... looking more into it ,it seems it may have been a waste of money.

Can you just clarify? Is it MagTric which is registered, or Magnetic Electric? With my very poor knowledge with TM/Legal Issues.. I think MagTric does not correlate to Magnetic Electric .. But I hope some expert will come in and explain the matter shortly..

The domain name = Magtric.com


Magnetic Electric was the industry I was looking at.


The company in asia's name is = Magtric (I think its still a valid company). Which I didn't realize was there until after I did some searching

Don't know for sure if the company is still valid or even if there are any TM issues

When I saw this name, I instantly saw "Magic Trick". Anything electric didn't even cross my mind. You'd have to research TM sites to determine whether it's a TM'ed word, but I've never heard of it...

Lots of companies have the same name..it doesn't nescessarily mean anything, nor does it mean an automatic TM infringement.

Could also mean tricked out mag wheels...but I thought of magic trick, too.

Do you need to check for trademarks in the USA alone or also in Thailand and others for a .com?
