Need help creating an auction site

I was thinking about creating an auction website.

i have a partially developed niche website already i was going to use:

purpleblankets.com


i downloaded auctionweaver for free (if anyone knows a better free auction script please let me know)

i changed some of the settings in the .pl file but i don't know how to install it.

so i just need some help/tips on how to get this thing set up and on its way
