Hi,

I am a new web admin, I search many online discussion but could not have a good understanding. Can someone help me?

The company register a "mydomain.com" domain name. However, the main targeted customer is in Singapore. Therefore, when our customer initial a search in Singapore, I can find that our web is on the first page but is rank behind our competitors which has their domain name with .sg. For example, "hisdomain.sg" or "herdomian.com.sg".

If the customer is search from outside Singapore "Keywords Singapore", our web will rank number 1 and putting all others behind.

My question;

1. How big is the impact of domain name with .sg in our ranking?
2. What can I do? Changing the domain name? If this case, I will lost all the SEO which already build up?

Majority of people will scroll and scan most, if not all, listings on the 1st results page. Higher is better, of course, especially above the fold, where you are present. Great job! Focus now on your page title and description, that's visible in Google listings, enticing people with a powerful message to click on your listing first.
