Maybe a dutch-speaking investor can confirm if this is/is not the primary word for Holland/Netherlands in Dutch.

Thanks in advance.

I'd aim higher. We're steering away from using Holland atm. Our country will probably 'rebrand' to The Netherlands for upcoming international events. In Dutch we usually use Nederland (singular) instead of De Nederlanden (pleural), We use Holland usually when it's less formal.

For the Americans (New Yorkers in special) who are bored (long read):

You're good to start with the basic 6F (for years, the nederland(.)nl redirection was used to power up the DN overheid(.)nl [ info in english: overheid(.)nl/english ] but since defunct DB and lack of enthusiasm, dn is offline and I don't think they're going to sell the beast, if ... not for less than eu 500k) Can't tell more :chicken:

Thanks for that info.
Just not sure if Dutch people sometimes use Dutch words with .COM.... very difficult to appraise imo.
Could be a good name for Dutch tourism maybe.

People in Dutch seldom use.COMs and .NETs domains with their own language๏ผŒinstead,They prefer to their own EXtension .NL ๏ผŒsometimes, even .ORGs are better than.NETs, and most of time, .NL are better than .COMs,NETs and ORGs,as i do some research your domains worth 5 fig+ because of key word

They prefer to their own EXtension .NL
On the other hand the Dutch are notorious for their widespread use of English language.

Thanks for the opinions. I think I will focus on a realistic 5-figure range.

I was thinking of reaching out to some end users branding around "Nederland" on Linkedin - thoughts?

I personally don't know about this one. For me, if it's a .com, it should come with an english spelling. Cctld should be in native spelling and native spelling with .com is kind of convoluted.

For example, it would make sense to me that Germany.com would be a site aimed internationally for info, tourism etc. for all kinds of people worldwide. Deutschland.de should be aimed at native people. Maybe news, events etc.

And Deutschland.com? I don't know. That domain is parked.

So I personally feel like this is a 4 fig name but plenty of others have said otherwise so I could be wrong.
