This was a pretty good find, just hand regged it! All other major extensions were taken and a lot of other extensions as well. According to namecheap the only that are left are .ws and .cc.

The term is searched about 1200 times a day according to wordtracker.

Google results are not exactluy staggering but,

natural disasters 1,590,000
"natural disasters" 749,000

So not to shabby it must have expired, good find I think! I cant believe how many other extensions are taken and .info was available. Also natural disasters seems to fit the .info extension as well as any site can. Let me know what you guys think!

Yes I was pleasantly suprised when I found that the dot info was available. After .net and .com .info would be my next choice. Anyone have any value appraisals on this one?

nice pickup - it's a "perfect" .info IMO

as for $$$ value - just guessing - seems like many good .info names are hard pressed to get more than mid $xx respect from most resellers. I can imagine this being worth at least low/mid $xxx to an end-user (and of course always possibly significantly more than that for the right application - insurance company looking for leads? public service agency? relief organization? Lots of possibilities come to mind.)

Name is worthy of mini-site type development -- though it's a pretty long domain, so you'll need to work hard on seo.

That should markedly increase it's reseller value. Otherwise, reseller value of domain is low xx. Value of this domain with a one or two page website and a little traffic could be xxx.

What's even better is that the com/net/org are lame parking pages, put a decent site and you should move up in ranking pretty quick .

it's indeed a nice domain but like already mentionned it's a long name and seo will take some time.

Better will be to develop a small site and see what happens. The value of info is at this point not so high for resellers. Maybe when you find the right end user it can bring on some money.

I realllllly dont care for tornadoes and wicked T Storms, so I do find myself looking up info just like this.

You guys are awesome! I added Rep to everyone it would allow me to add it to. I really appreciate your guys comments. I plan on making this a pretty big site actually. The only reason I actually picked natural disasters to have a domain for is because I really love weather phenomenons.

Im super excited to develop this website and I really plan on making it huge. Im going to go into each type of natural disaster very detailed. I am going to put a focus on insurance and see if I can make a little bit of a profit with maxbounty or commission junction. They have all kind of lead programs for all kinds of insurance. I just have to show them how dangerous and scary these things are then they will want insurance, easy right?

I could have top natural disaster movies.
Tons of statistics.
Probability of it happening in your area.
Being prepared for a natural disaster.
