Hi.

I often visit namepros.com (few times per day) and last few weeks (1 or 2 max.) there are moments of approx. 10-20 minutes when NP forums are unaccesible. This repeats 1 or 2 times per day (that i notice).

Since i worked in hosting business, my guess is that server is getting overloaded?

Anyway, it pretty anoying, and i am suggesting to check out whats going on. My advice is to make php script that checks www.namepros.com for HTTP code 200 (reports ok) and to put in execution every 5 minutes. So you will be able to see when and why namepros.com is unaccessible.

I dont think i am the only one noticed that, so if anybody has the same experience, please share (for the benefit of this lovely forum).

Greetings.

Numerous threads on this very subject. I'm assuming "those in the know" are working behind the scenes trying to correct this problem.

I agree that it is frustrating. Plays havoc with auction deadlines as well.

Nice to hear that problem is noticed, and is being solved.

It has me so irritating. I almost sometimes feel like quitting the forum for good. I mean, the downtime has been a lot for the past few days and it is really really annoying. I hope RJ and everyone else is looking into the problem!

Agree with webtwink.

This needs to be fixed very quickly. I am looking into moving to another forum, I want to stay here, but when I cannot access it for the most part of the day, its hard to be loyal.

If the downtime continues to be this much (sure, maybe the occasional couple of minutes a day is ok) where it is hours at a time, I really dont know how NamePros can carry on being the success it is at the moment.

PLEASE sort this out :(

couldn't agree more guys - when it starts to get so noticeable that multiple threads are going up about it then there's a bit of a problem

I am sure that everything that can be done is being done though

Thought it was my dial-up connection or my ISP?

Guess not - I have the same problem - fairly often...

A fix would be NICE :gl:

I'm still waiting for a convenient time for -RJ- to allow me server access to check it all out. Once I get access, I'll see what I can do. :)

Just went down, managed to grab some error messages before it came back up. :) Will help me narrow it down a little. :)
