The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
So the data is related to Sales/Purchases between NamePro members only. Right? The data does not include Sales by NamePros members outside Namepros. Right? Most of the NamePros members sell their domain names in other marketplaces also.
Please clarify. Thank you.
They're sales reported by NamePros members, regardless of where they took place. Some sales occurred through NamePros.com, email, etc.

Bonus: We just added https://www.namepros.com/threads/popular-domain-name-sales-content.1027781/

Hope that helps,

I don't think it is Namepros only, I never saw a sale on namepros higher than 100-200$
Private probably
The second highest sale in this report took place on NamePros:

As I've covered before:
  1. I've been added to many DM's over the years on NamePros where deals have completed for $XX,XXX and $XXX,XXX. I've also been told about a $X,XXX,XXX offer (not sale) made by a NamePros member to another NamePros member.
  2. If your domains aren't getting $30-40k offers, then your domains aren't worth that at reseller pricing, because those offers are easy to get here with the right domains.
  3. No one wants to pay more for a domain than they have to, so if you can buy a $40k domain for $4, then everyone would be happy to do that. If you can't respond professionally and respectfully to a low ball offer, then you might have lost a serious counter offer because of it.

Hope that helps ;)

Reported sales increased from $211,326 in February to $293,619 in March.

Another great sales month for NamePros members, as the community reported almost $300,000 in domain sales. Atop of the sales chart was Ramkumar with his blockbuster sale of CryptoGame.com...{MORE HERE}

The only valid reason would be an NDA or a handshake agreement with the buyer. In either scenario it shouldn’t be reported at all.

I think it became fashionable to add a degree of mystery to the sale by adding “/“ between words and extensions.

Sometimes we don't want the buyer to see the details behind the sale that we share at NamePros, like purchase price.

@stub - these are reported sales by NamePros members. They are reported by the owner/seller and most of the time, can’t be found elsewhere.

I also did a report in Jan and Feb.
Ha well you can ad LoyalDog .com to that list for $5000 (Another 15yr hold) as i sold that as well as CryptoCorp .com :xf.smile: It was a good month.

I personally think the respectful thing to do is if the person reports the sale masked then it should be masked. You are scraping info so scrape as the seller intended with their post. They should not have to say Mask this. It should be obvious.

There are many reasons to keep it masked that don’t involve NDA’s. Like common courtesy to the new owner who might be building a site on it.

IMOH the information which we get in this forum is indispensable and we carry forward these info to make sales here in the community as well as outside.

Most people here add '/' between the words so that these sales don't get archived by Google.. they won't appreciate it.

As I have said before, those that specifically note that they don’t want the sale archived can say so when reporting a sale. However if there is good reason for not wanting it archived then I highly recommend not reporting the sale because anyone can type it out afterwards.

In February there were a couple sales by @Recons.Com where he specifically asked not to have the name indexed so you’ll see in my Feb report that “/“ were added.

You can’t please everyone but I’ll try ;)

OK. So this is reported sales. Not sales made on NP (which was what I thought). Does the sale have to be reported by the owner/seller? Or can anyone report a sale they don't own?

If they already sold the name why would they want to hide it from Google?

Isn't it the buyers concern?

Just don't get it, hope someone can explain why.
Yes this is the buyer's concern, in a way. But is a sign of seller's respect and courtesy to the buyer. After selling the domain, i don't go to the market square and start yelling - i sold this and this for that much. My buyer has a full right to privacy, and he expects it from me. Of course it can't be fully private on a public auctions, but at least i can try.

If a domain name is masked on NamePros, maybe Josh will consider masking it in his article too. Then, everyone will be happy.

However, I recommend using a single style of masking (E.g. spaces: e x a m p l e . c o m) in the articles even though members use many different styles (E.g.: e/x/a/m/p/l/e/./c/o/m).

Hope that helps,

Thansk @TERADOMAIN - Great community here for the most part and I'll do my best to help out.

Hoping to see lots more sales in April from everyone!

Where do you find these sales on NP if we would want to view the progress as the days go by?
It’s all taken from the domain name sales section.

I don't see that it has affected the number of members reporting their sales at all. Maybe in a positive way you mean?

This is the 3rd report and total sales numbers have gone up month over month....not down.

In fact we have over 20 reported sales already in the first 4 days of the month...

I don't post my sales myself but if i did and i put slashes through my domain name that means I do not want it indexed.

Reasons memebers may not want them indexed maybe they sold it to a buyer of theirs or another domainer. Maybe they don't want that price to be the benchmark Or maybe they sold it to an end user and they don't want the end-user to see them bragging about it, because they want him to come back for another domain whatever the reason maybe you should respect the posters decision to leave it unindexed and ask the op if they would be okay with you putting it in a sales chart

There's tons of reasons why people do not want their sales index and then there's other reasons why they post on namepros to try to help others learn from their sales still even not wanting there sales indexed thats what the / are for.. respect the /

I dont post my sales any more because i dont want people in my business and now even i decided one day i would. the fact that you will post it somewhere if i put slashes through it. I definitely wont.

Yes and it's a very useful addition to all the more formal notifications of sales. DNJournal being the gold standard :)

Personally. If they have a NDA, or don't have the specific agreement from the buyer, I don't think sellers should be reporting their sales at all. either disguised or not. I think their is something "shady" about publishing domain sales prices without the specific consent of the buyer. Who now owns the domain.

Also. What verification is done that the transaction ever took place?

Good question.
The sales that look questionable, I do a little back-end research on DomainIQ. Most members that are posting in the completed sales thread I'm pretty familiar with though.

Couldn't agree more. The Omar & Will series has filled a void for me. With the departure of Michael Cyger from the Domain Sherpa show, Omar & Will are filling my need for video and I couldn't be more grateful.
