Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking Landers!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers have an option that requires buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective. Learn more on DNW.com.

Idea for handling different types of leads:

Currently we can "mark unreachable" and it will email the lead one more time.

Can we also have a "Mark as spam" where we can see some sort of indicator denoting the lead is most likely spam? Possibly also email our registered email with the subject "Lead May Be Spam" + the domain name and inquiry ID, etc

I want to be clear on what I mean by spam versus unreachable.

I feel its spam when someone uses a famous brazilian footballer's name (for example) with a throwaway gmail address of similar name, to inquire about the BIN price of one of my domains. When I do my invesitgation on this lead it is usually very clear that the lead is not going to go anywhere. They never respond to an introduction email from me. So, this is spam to me.

Yes, this is part of the game but I am merely trying to categorize these leads so I dont waste time going back over them.

Unreachable is for when there is a very high certainty that the lead is a real person and/or works at the particular company they listed.

If I could export ALL of my leads then I'd import them into a CRM that I would create and be able to handle them on my side.

do you have a stat of how many domains were sold and the names of the domains?
Not currently; sellers using our landers handle their sales outside of NamePros. We only know about sales when they're announced publicly by sellers, mentioned to us in private, or purchased through the Escrow.com buy-now button. We can also make estimates using various strategies based on other data, such as buyers pressing "buy now" or legitimate buyers making reasonable offers on domains.

So we can't reply to inquiries within NamePros?

Correct, all communication is handled outside of NamePros through email, phone calls, etc.

However, you can communicate with the buyer in special ways through NamePros, such as the “Mark as Unreachable” button.

You can also click the “envelope” icon on NamePros to send the inquiry to yourself again if needed, and then reply to that email to contact the buyer.

Please let us know if you have additional questions or suggestions. 😊

@Bravo Mod Team

On the landers, can the text above the domain name be changed from "Available for sale" to "This domain is available for sale" ?

Is it possible ?

Half the people I have received inquiries and offers from don't even know what a domain name is and therefore did not even know they were filling out a form to buy one. Could you please add a link saying "What is a domain name"?

Yes, we’ve also seen sellers using the description areas to put things like this to help clarify to visitors what is for sale.

Could you please add a link saying "What is a domain name"?
We plan to add this as one of the FAQs to our upcoming Detailed lander.

In the meantime, you could use the account-wide description options to include this information on your existing landers.

We’re also adding an option to reduce confused inquiries, which will require them to pass a test that confirms they’re trying to buy a domain name and not something else.

Lots of exciting stuff coming in 2025!

Thanks for the clarification! 😊

Just a suggestion – would it be possible to handle the communication within NamePros? I'm not sure if my email replies will end up in the inbox or spam. It might be more efficient to keep everything within NamePros until both parties are in agreement and can share the remaining details.:xf.smile:

I have this fear as well.

I began adding domains to namepros landers at the end of June 2024 and the remaining several hundreds domains were added by mid-August 2024.

My stats for the last half of 2024 were:

Confirmed email inquiriers
·
Total of 99.
· 27 BIN offers. (one was a $999 billion USD offer which I didnt respond to even tho my BIN was $4,888. and then right after the 999 billion offer the lead made a BIN offer of $4,888).
· Majority of BIN checked out as actual persons working at a company that could very well use the domain name Its those which made me worried that my emails were not being received. I sent 2-3 replies, for each of the leads, a week apart as to not look desperate. And then I would choose the "mark unreachable" on them hoping maybe they'd be reminded from a different source to reply. Nope.

Unconfirmed inquiries
·
Total of 42
· Offers made: 6 (including a 9+ billion USD offer)

* Something interesting that I noticed, MANY of the leads, some confirmed but mostly not confirmed, are apparently professional footballers from diverse nations across the globe! :xf.laugh:

Overall, only ONE confirmed email inquiry/BIN offer ever replied to me and it took him six weeks to do so. His reply ignored the fact that he chose BIN and instead he inquired about renting the domain instead. I replied to him 2 weeks ago and so far not a peep.

I am going to start tracking these in my own spreadsheet.

But, yes, I often wonder if they receive the replies. In 25 years of selling domains I've never had had to call a lead to make a sale but I may change that in 2025 if it means gaining a sale.

No matter what, I am happy and appreciative to be able to receive and handle my own leads now. Yes, it might be a cool idea to get a DAN-like message board on namepros, if possible. Once again, I would certainly be willing to part with a small sales percentage to fund that development and I know others have said the same. Perhaps it could be offered to those who are at a certain membership level of pay a sales fee, etc?

Here is to a profitable and successful 2025 but most important - to all of our health! Without good health we are able to accomplish much!

It’s unlikely that your emails wouldn’t reach buyers, but you can use an email tracking service to find out, such as Streak for Gmail.

Our “Mark as Unreachable” email is nearly guaranteed to reach them because they’ve already confirmed receipt of an email from us when they confirmed their email address. If they don’t contact you after that, it’s most likely intentional or possibly forgetful.

Another pro tip is to reach out to them by text message, LinkedIn, contact forms on their website, etc. If you still don’t receive a response, that’ll confirm they’re intentionally not responding.

Unfortunately, it’s most common for buyers (even other investors on NamePros) to just not respond if they lose interest.

In all likelihood, a lot of unresponsive inquirers are looking for something else and not trying to buy a domain. Our upcoming updates will definitely help to reduce that confusion, if enabled.

I am happy and appreciative to be able to receive and handle my own leads now.
We appreciate you. 😊

I used to use Hubspot and it seemed to work OK but I allowed it to expire earlier in 2024 so I think I will activate their free program again.

TL;DR: When does the lead get to see the minimum price on a listing which only has a minimum price OR do they never see it unless they present an offer?

This particular domain only has minimum offer, no BIN. My intent is to get all domains BIN priced but its taking a while, for the meantime I have min offers set.

I can see 4 "inquiries" from overnight, from the same person.

There were two(2) inquiries, where no offer was made.

The lead confirmed their email address on the third(3rd) inquiry.

Then, six(6) minutes later the same person created another inquiry.

No actual offers were made.

Has the mimimum offer been presented to the buyer?

So I tried to do the same, myself. I did not see the offer. The wording on the screenshot is interesting because I did not make an offer. Perhaps, after confirming the email the pop-up window could say "Thank you for confirming your email address, please make an offer to continue" ?? Just an idea.

So , my assumption is the lead has not see the minimmum price set because they have not presented an offer and I just wanted to confirm that.

I had a weird experience just two days ago. Someone submitted an inquiry and managed to bypass the minimum offer requirement I had set by entering "None" in the USD field.
