Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking Landers!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers have an option that requires buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective. Learn more on DNW.com.

    • Escrow.com (Recommended): Starts an Escrow.com transaction for you and allows the buyer to pay immediately.
    • PayPal: Creates a PayPal transaction for the buyer to pay directly to your PayPal account.
    • Email: You and the buyer use email to choose a payment method (e.g., crypto), discuss lease-to-own (LTO) options, etc.
  • Location: Country, region (e.g., state or province), and locality (e.g., city, town, or village) of your inquirers to help you understand where they are located, the best time to contact them, etc.
  • Bulk Management: Set options on multiple domains at the same time: prices, payment methods, appearance, etc. using our website's interface or your favorite spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets).
  • Exports: Download a list of your domains and their settings, customizations, and inquiries, including buyers’ email addresses, offers, etc. (CSV format.)
  • Domain Verification: Verify your domains by using any of these methods: name servers (NS), CNAME, or TXT records.

Just starting to test NP landers for a couple of names, but it's been 5 days since I added TXT for verification. Tested propagation is good, but domains still unrecognized / unverified. Anyone else have problems if using TXT? Must I use NS (or CNAME)? Thanks!

Resolved.

I had the same issues with TXT so switched to nameservers. Dynadot registrar.

Just use the nameservers .I use that and it works faster for me .

Why offer the 'option' of TXT verification if it doesn't work? Should I wait a full week or give up?
(I've already toggled the TXT string onto thousands of names)

Resolved.

@Bravo Mod Team ,Under buy now settings where we have payment methods like escrow ,can you also add another buy now method like Atom pay since we can generate a payment from from Atom.
When this is selected it also give options to buyers go pay .

If you can have a conversation with Atom owner about this so that a unique integration is added for Atom Pay .I am sure they wouldn't mind earning their 4.5% commission using the imported lead to close out deals .

Hi @Bravo Mod Team. It’s not obvious when looking at the Extras in your Profile, that that’s where you are. The verbiage refers to a domain name, but these are actually Profile -> Extras settings. Conversely, when looking at the domain itself, there’s messaging that asks about overwriting Profile settings, and so it’s more obvious you’re editing the Domain -> Extras in those cases.

It would be helpful if it were made obvious when you’re on profile extras, and not domain extras. These screens are otherwise too similar; compare the two screenshots below. Thanks.

Went back (again) to check my work adding verification string. Found answer (a bit shamefacedly) -- and reporting here may benefit another person: Somehow, when copy-pasting the verification string, two spaces were attached in front. I'd checked the tail as identical, but not the head (it wasn't flush with other strings). After adjustment, quickly verified. Yikes!

What are the consequences of a blocked forum account for the landers linked to that account? Is there any policy on this?

I would really like to filter out much of this so I am left with real, true traffic but not sure how to go about that.
That's what Google Analytics tries to do, but as you've noticed, it's not easy for them to do:

1) About 50% of the views on this day are from City = "(not set") with 90% of that traffic being from United States.
Is it normal to have that many "not set" city names?
This is not an indication of bots, as you noticed in #3. It solely indicates that the city is currently unknown. Country data is much more readily available than city data.

The average for parked domains is around 30% but it can vary widely depending on the domains. If you have a domain that receives a lot of traffic from a location that doesn't have city data associated with it, then your percentage can be much higher.

2) Here is an example of some interesting subdomain names in visits for this day (but are present any day):
Why are there domain names in the subdomain names?

/parked/2c8b3f19-0325-4acc-a3dd-31a918e4dbf5.random.<my-domain-name-here>.com
/parked/059879e5-b2e8-4f58-aa46-95f69d92aa34.random.<my-domain-name-here>.com
/parked/8ceb7d00-2a97-11ec-91f8-7446a0f559b0.<my-domain-name-here>.com
If there are only a couple domains with these types of URLs, then you may want to filter out just those domains from your Google Analytics. Those domains may have been previously developed with API endpoints, callbacks, etc., and there may still be other applications/servers trying to reach them from when they were developed.

/parked/view/ (but my domain name doesnt show after "view", its just as seen)
That's because we don't include the domain with these links yet, but it's on our to-do list to update this URL to include the domain name.

3) And these various (but no way exhaustive) subdomain names in front of my domain names. Almost all of these have 3, 4, 5 or more visits each:
Why so many "mx." and multiples of "mx." as the subdomain? I am aware that "mx" has to do with mail servers but why so many "mx.", even "www.www." in front of the domain they're visiting?

Also, why so many various acc, app, booking, bot, ebay and so many other subdomains in front of the domain they're visiting?
Are all of these indication of bots? If so, I would love to know how to filter these so I do not see them.

This does not all correspond 1:1 with the city = "(not set)", I can get these with many cities where the name is populated.
Probably bots, but not necessarily all of them. Some of those subdomains may have hosted things in the past before you bought the domains. SEO tools can help you investigate that through backlinks.

What I am trying to arrive at is a genuine "view count" sans the bots, spiders, crawlers, and other creepers out there.
We will provide this data ourselves in the future. :)

I'm not sure that the nameserver changes will be shown that soon.
Tip: GoDaddy's process is automated using DNS. This means that you need to check the nameservers using DNS lookups:

As you noticed, DNS can take a while to update, unlike WHOIS, but with those tools above, you'll know when it actually updated and then can accept the offer to get the lower commission.*

* A better way is to run the DNS lookups from within GoDaddy's web hosting environment, but the provided solution is easier and generally sufficient.

I will just have to increase the price on Dan/Afternic due to commission
That's a great option, too.

You can even add a description on your landers that says buying directly through you (e.g., Escrow.com) will save the buyer 20% on the price.

Buyers love a good discount! :)

Absolutely!

We're working on other core features while AtomPay matures as a service, and then we'll add it.

Do you want something different from what AtomPay already offers?

Let us know.

Has anyone here in this thread ever purchased a domain using an AtomPay button?

If so, could you share what that experience was like?

What are the consequences of a blocked forum account for the landers linked to that account?
It depends on the reason for the blocked forum account:
  • Scam/Fraud: Landers are disabled.
  • High Risk: Descriptions are disabled.
  • No Marketplace Access: Buy now, LTO, and descriptions are disabled.
Existing domains are updated accordingly.

Technically, you could request to close your forums account and still use it for parking, assuming your account is in good standing.

Thanks for asking.

Rather than opening a new tab when NamePros Privacy Policy is clicked, consider displaying it on the same page in a popup. It will then only show the relevant details, instead of the complete forum.

Thanks. If a forum account gets blocked but the associated landers continue to function, will leads still be forwarded to their email? I’m asking because it’s important to consider this process at this stage. Additionally, will the forum member have time to migrate if the landers stop functioning due to their behavior on the forum?

Landers being disabled is the only scenario in which leads are not forwarded, and that only happens for Scam/Fraud accounts, so we do not allow scammers/fraudsters any time to migrate: Learn more.
