It has been 6 hours since I created the tag and I confirmed right away that my tag is accurately shown on all of my domain landing pages.

Iv'e made visits myself and I know these names have high traffic so there should have been something by now - no?

BTW, I have performed a "test" on a specific domain landing page, which is verified at NP parking since end of June, and I definitely see the tag. but get this message:

This is so odd... As of this morning there is indications that the analytics is receiving traffic on one of the GA account pages however I still get that error highlighted in yellow, above, when I press Test. I will DM some screen shots of specific details so you can verify internally.

In the end, most inquiries want your email address to spam you. By replying to them, you effectively divulge your contact information to them.

How about implementing a canned response from the contact form? I'd like to hear from others on ways to weed out spammers.

I like that idea too.

I recently received 4 emails for one domain, 3 from a gmail acct and the other from hotmail. The BIN was from a gmail. I cant find any evidence of such an email address anywhere, same with the others.

I'd like to see a couple of other verifications...

- telephone: I dont even think telephone is really necessary anyway. Once the negotiations gain traction then perhaps an exchange of telephone numbers may occur. In my 20+ years selling domains I've never once spoken to a buyer.

- ipaddress: Would love to see most of the VPN IP addresseses automatically blocked, probably a hard thing to do but that would definitely help too. Too easy to hide behind one of those VPN / hidden proxy IPs, use a throwaway email address, a poorly formatted phone #, which is what the one (out of 4 emails) had on it,

Its been 3 weeks since my first inquiry and no one is replying and I've stopped chasing because I really believe that I am chasing my tail. I think it was exactly the scenario from above (proxy IP / fake email / bad phone #) and they got not only a BIN but a confirmation of my email address and all that comes with that email back to them. :/

This may be challenging. Entrepreneurs still often use unattractive email addresses for both personal and professional purposes. Therefore, acquiring a new and appealing domain could be an excellent idea.

Gmail in particular is widely used in both private and professional contexts. It's important not to dismiss emails from Gmail users, as doing so could result in missing important leads.

Some stealth brokers prefer not to immediately disclose that they are trading on behalf of a large client, as this can lead to an increase in price. They're sometimes using ugly email addresses on purpose.

Furthermore, it is increasingly difficult for small businesses to manage their own email servers. These servers often lack the reliability and trustworthiness of larger (cloud) providers such as Microsoft and Google. As a result, there is a growing trend towards using dedicated cloud services from these major providers. However, businesses still have the option to configure their own domain name or use @gmail.com.

To give an example, I sold a number of infrastructure domains to the company Verisign. And even though I knew I was doing business with this company, the entire transaction was handled through a private free email address at nycny.net. Even up to the Escrow.com transaction. You can't really filter on that.

It was used by CSC Corporate Domains.

These servers often lack the reliability and trustworthiness of larger (cloud) providers such as Microsoft and Google. As a result, there is a growing trend towards using dedicated cloud services from these major providers. However, businesses still have the option to configure their own domain name or use @gmail.com.
Domainers also have the option to individually dismiss inquiries from Gmail/Hotmail. They always have the option to follow their own best practices.

A funny anecdote: I successfully used this method many years ago. I would reply by mentioning that we didn't do sales with individuals and that business emails were required. It worked sometimes, but it was not a guarantee of a successful sale. The downside was it required more work and monitoring.

Just an FYI, the realtime stats still does not show for my account. I created the tag on 27-JULY so it should definitely be working by now. I wasnt going to mention it but I see another has mentioned the same thing happening.

We already built this technology for the forums, but we intentionally don't use it on our landers so that sellers can decide if they want to ignore these leads.

I think it was exactly the scenario from above (proxy IP / fake email / bad phone #) and they got not only a BIN but a confirmation of my email address and all that comes with that email back to them. :/
