I've recently purchased $20 of advertising from NAmePros For DropLists.us

Now, I've been tracking it, and tbh, I have no qualms about the price and dont really care about the click through. And no, it;'s not me being nieve. I just wanna support NP

So, the question is this.

What is YOUR CTR(Click through rate).

Mine seems to hoover around the .6-.7% mark. it's only been a couple of days though, so not concerned. However, wondering if anyone has any better / worse results.

Also interested in this, as I wonder how mucht he banner affects peoples decision to click rather than the content being offered.

DPK - I'm not "moaning"/"complaining" or saying it's good or bad value for money. eitherway, I like to support a community I spend TOOOO many hours lurking around in..lol

There are rumours that Ron has capped the max click through to 1%...lmao (Joking btw).

I think a .5 - 1% click through rate on banner ads is a very normal range. $20 for a full sized banner is an incredibly good price for a forum that has the kind of traffic NamePros has. Even if no one clicked the banner, the impressions alone (that get your name out there) would be well worth the $20.In fact if that price is correct, I would say that has to be one of the best advertsing deals on the net right now.

I have noticed your banner ad myself - it's a good looking ad and it caused the site to stick in my mind and later visit it (which is what happens with many people). I wound up typing it in later rather than going through the banner link.

The advertising doesn't really work on me. Most of the time I don't even notive the banner, and when I do I don't think I've ever clicked. But thats just me.

For me it might be more effective if it was placed right below the quick reply form at the bottom of each page.

Actually as Duke, Said these banners REALLY get your name out there. I dont think I have clicked your banner yet SY4, but I have visited your site 2-3 times now, just because when I think of a .US droplist I go to your site.

And .7% CTR on a forum is quite good since keep in mind, that some users will see you banners many times before finally clicking.

Occassionally I click a site. Most of the time if it interest me, so I do notice all the banners and I'm sure everyone else does.

I was thinking more along the "design" of the banners, and the importance. I mean, mines in your face, and pretty crap for a "banner design"...lol

Also, it was about 5% when I first launched... (after people stopped clicking because they've already been to it)

For what it's worth...

I rarely click on the banners here - but, I have.
I sometimes "write down" the site name from the banner
and check it out later (if the name is easy to identify)
Banners do help with "brand awareness"
$20 seems reasonable for just about anything today

Ask 50 different people about CTR - and you'll get 50 different
opinions IMHO

For my money - I buy relevant/related "visible" text links -
just my preference and it works great for me.

My banner ad for VisitorWorld.com at Namepros runs out today. I have been very happy with the campaign despite a low click through rate.

Like the others have said, just the exposure of your banner on this site is beneficial. Since starting this campaign my daily type ins have increased substantially -- I am sure that Namepros has contributed to this.

My stats for the month are:

67 clicks
50,895 impressions
0.1% CTR

I will be advertising on Namepros again in the future.

I have seen the banners here on namepros and have always wondered how people get their banners on namepros. I have tried to find an advertising link with costs/prices, but could not seem to find it , Maybe Im just blind,
