I'm not one to publicly criticize OR heap praise on others but I'm going to break with that tradition and say a few things about Nick:

I joined DNF in the last quarter of 2002 and one of the first things that stood out was the moderator NamePopper. He had a great personality for a moderator and exercised considerable restraint while being wholly passionate about the site, domain names, and most members.

After a couple of transactions with him he went out of his way to make a nice post recommending the service I was offering. Because he is held in such high regard by the domaining community his recommendation was priceless for a new member. Having been banned from that forum I'm glad to see him posting here however infrequently.

Many of you are familiar with Nick from his posts or from Dukes excellent article so I wont rehash his life story but suffice to say that his attitude is amazing in light of his personal trials.

So Nick...thanks. My hat is off to you and my thoughts and prayers of good health for you. If I can do anything for you let me know.

Cheers my friend

NamePopper is here? Real domain pro, imho. Great news...

A real pro and class act! What happenned to NamePopper anyway? Is he ill as some have implied?

He does not seem to post anymore at any of the forums from what I can see, though I may be wrong.

They also said a while back he was coming back soon as a Sr Mod at DNF but it does not appear to be so.

I believe he's occupied with developing gif.org or something like that?

Nick's a class act and BIG supporter of the domain name "community" ... GREAT to see you here at #1 Namepros, as your schedule permits. :)

PS. The offer for your yellow "GLOW" stands ... just let me know. :D

Thank you Larry. And thanks to everybody else too!

I'm not worthy of most of the attention I get - but it always makes me feel good to know the people I care about and respect - feel a little of the same for me. You guys/gals are the best - and you were the driving force behind what made me work so hard. Without you & your support - I would have never been as effective - or even had a chance.

Just to make a quick comment about my health (since some people have inquired).... I have been on some new medications lately and the combination has made be a bit loopy - and my head has not been very clear. I haven't been posting much anywhere because I just felt lousy. The good news is that the doc has adjusted the stuff I am taking - and I think we are getting it straight. I'm starting to feel a little better - and come out of this daze I've been in. So hopefully I will feel like my old self soon - and be back in the swing of things before long.

Thanks again for all the kind words. I don't deserve it - but I am very grateful for everything. More than you know.

Thank you! Long live NamePros!

NamePopper is a great guy and a great mod :) I have even called him THE great mod once or twice... but I dare not say that here because I am not a mod here ;)

Nick, good to see you posting and getting back in the swing of things. RJ is a fine fellow, has put together a good bunch of mods, and attracted a number of good members to NamePros... which is a good forum. Here's hoping you and the NamePros gang have a grand old time :hearts: That would be good for the domain community and something to celebrate. :)

(now... see how mushy I am getting! yikes!) :red:
