I have a domain registered with namecheap and am using the frame instead of redirect. It works fine, but now I noticed that search engines have trouble with spidering my website. They only seem to index one page (the page in the frame). Also if I'm on a certain page like news.php it still only shows domain.com in my address bar and when I hit refresh I end up on the mainpage again.

Would transferring my domain to a webhosting company solve these problems?
Thanks

since your using a frame redirect, it will always appear as just the domain name in the address bar. And yes, if you transferred DNS to your hosting company those problems would be fixed.

I think that's called URL masking when a static domain name appears in the address bar while visiting different URL's

Since the content is on a different domain than the URL, Google likely either doesn't follow it, or doesn't associate it with your domain name. It is better to use the DNS of your host instead of forwarding in any form.

If getting listed in search engines is important to you never ever use frames
