NAmeCheap DNS / Redirect

I changed the Redirect on a new domain i grabed, and it still hasnt changed.

How long does it take / is it taking for others?

Assuming it (not a very recent registrations) was already on their servers, and all you did was "redirect" it to another site? In that case, based on my experience ... you should note the new redirect within a few hours (if not sooner). How long ago did you grab or register this one ... that may play a factor, as well as NEW reg's take a bit to resolve at the Registrar.

Welp, I registered it about 2.5 hrs ago. A great drop. Very suprising as it happens.

I've got a great addictive game setup for it already.

Just waiting now. I huess they may take a few hours. But in my experience, they have worked VERY quickly in the past.

NEW registrations will take a bit longer, but please do keep us posted. I'll locate another thread on this subject shortly here, as well.

since it is a new registration, it probably will take a little over 24 hours for the dns changes to go through out the net

That would see about right, Brian ... for "new" registrations.

well, as it happens, with new regs, some have taken as little as 15 mins.

As unbelievable as it sounds, thats the case. Maybe they were previously on their system and setup, just they expired.

Welp, we'll see.
