What is the max that you guys would pay for a 100 daily uniques domain that is currently running. I am planning on buying it and parking it. Has anyone done this before? I am not sure how drastically the traffic will go down but I am willing to take the risk. If it does keep all 100 unique by some freak accident how much would be the max that you guys would pay theoretically? Im deciding between a porn related site and a wallpaper providing site. thanks.

As for the value of 100 uniques a day, it all depends on the type. Porn or wallpaper are both low if your just parking. I would not pay more that $50-75 if your just parking. This dollar amount does not reflect the "name value".

More value in directing to a site and generating revenue from there. :imho:

I did some math using the CPM at domainhop:

100.00 uniques 0.40 day 12.20 monthly revenue 146.00 year revenue

What you said doesnt seem right.

In the past I have tried making sites and generating revenue from ads on the site while I provide like downloads or something on my site, but that has never made more money per unique than a site I have parked. Am I doing something horribly wrong?

It also depends where the traffic is coming from too :)

if ya go with the adult site you will kill the traffic, much better to keep site running or redirect to a pay site that pays you either per sign up or per click

I would evaluate the PPC the URL pays,For instance,I have one at sedo that pays .20 a click,And another one that pays .09 , 100 uniq at .20 is a fairly nice daily revenue just for parking a DN IMO.Keywords and demand is always the Xfactor! LOL...Mine at .20 is getting 36 a day as of now,,Hope it rises to a 100 a day.

Depending on the genre of domain, I would pay up to $200.

Nice math... Now consider the reality of domain parking revenue. Most parked domains will not maintain unique visits, possibly typos, but that has it's limits as well. The back links will fade and search ranking will drop like a rock.

Glad you said it, not me... ;)

I have found just the opposite. Setting up quality content(someone around here keeps saying that is King ) with relevant traffic seems to be the road to revenue in my experience.

I had an adult name that had 100 uniques a day (actually 400-500 at one time). It faded very, very quickly, within a month it's down to 20-30 after parking...
