domain .name first names...about how much are they worth?

I haven't seen almost any .name domains selling lately with the exception of rare.name. If you find someone with that name who is interested in the domain, I am sure you could get around $50 for the domain. Finding someone with that name will be the easy part--finding someone who will ante up $ for it will be more difficult.

Of course, these are just my opinions and being that I have little experience in .name sales (although I doubt many others will have much more experience), you may want to take what I say with a grain of salt.

Ok, thanks Fonzie, I haven't seen any sales of name.names either in the few months I have been domaining. Have you are anyone heard of ANY sales of these? I grabbed it because I like the name I'll most likely hold onto it. There is a large return on google searches for it: 6,700,000 or so and 5130 overture so not too bad.

I think it really depends how much effort you put into finding a buyer for a name like this.

There are tens of thousands of Katrinas out there in the world andthere must be a few who would like the novelty of Katrina.name just for the novelty of the email address.

The advantage is that the potential buyer would not be a domainer or webmaster, hence they probably have no idea of the market value. You could use this to your advantage, possibly quoting the sales of First Name .com's to justify a fair price.

I think a few hundred dollars is possible with some effort.

i just sold 2 .names on ebay for a $60 profit, my first ever domain sale, however they were not peoples names.

I feel that First and Last .Names can be pretty much equal in value.

Can we set up a .Name sticky? The reason being is that I have to search for discussions for .Name and would like to eliminate having to search.

I would mod for it if i were elected to do so.
