Name.com or Name.net ?

Just tried to log into my Name.com account and it bounced me out with a big yellow warning saying the site is untrusted etc.

I looked at the url and its gone from name.com to name.net?

Anyone else seeing this? Or is it just me?
Any ideas whats up with that?

Just wondering if its really their site and if its safe to log in. Seems odd to forward name.com to the .net version (and make everything purple!).

UPDATE:
Seems like its nothing to worry about as Lesley (rep from name.com) has clarified below that name.net does also belong to name.com - so its not some kinda browser hijack or phishing scam or anything of the sort.

Name.net is our sister site and it is on the same code base as Name.com, which is why it looks so similar.

Yeah, strange that. It seems to be fine now. But check out name.net as well - thats where it was going to before... its a purple version of the .com lol - I wonder why they have the two versions, seo purposes maybe?

Anyway, glad its fine, got the name I was after without it being snagged.

I was re-directed there as well following log-in. This was after about a two minute "bug" where the php code screen was displayed.

Thanks for the reply Lesley, seems to be fine now. It happened a few times over the period of about 10-15 mins I think (around 8.30pm GMT) in case you wanted to look through your logs?

Basically, whenever I did a name search or tried to login it took me to name.net... and if I tried to log in at name.net it showed "untrusted site" in firefox.

But all good.
