Name.com 5 day cancel refund

I have been using GoDaddy for my domains but recently I registered one at name.com and I really like it, 1$ cheaper and free private whois which is much better then those GoDaddy freebies which I never use. Anyway I want to cancel a domain which I registered less then 5 days ago so I can get a refund but what is the process for doing this at name.com? Anyone know?

Cheaper is not always better.. I'm not sure about their policy regarding refunds but alot of registrars seem to be moving away from a free 5 day grace period of late.

Could be but I know alot are charging a fee to refund.. I don;t think ICANN requires you to refund any longer but iI could be wrong

Domain name registrations cannot be canceled.

We do not auto-renew domain registrations. Unless you actively renew your names, they will expire and be deleted. Once a domain has been registered, the terms of registration cannot be cancelled for any reason.

Thanks weblord. I think there still isnt a definitive answer since GoDaddy says in there terms that you cant get a refund but they have given them to me in the past for less then 5 days registered domains.

Anyone tried it or know for sure if its possible/not possible?

Apparently name.com does not but I know GoDaddy still does (within reason)

i haven't done it with godaddy before but i think that's the function of the cancel button/link on domain management or to be sure send an email to support.

A friend of mine recently contacted GoDaddy for a refund so I know they do indeed refund within the 5 day grace period.

Yeah, name.com doesnt even seem to have any way of cancelling a domain. Oh well, I will just keep it, its still usable.

One plus is they don't auto-renew.. you can always just ignore it or contact their support directly to cancel it.

prockstar,com. I was thinking of using it for a proxy list and I choose it because procks sounds like prox and I don't want prox in the domain so it doesnt get blocked so easily but I realised that its not obvious enough what the site is about so I wanted refund.

that'll be tricky to develop for much but I see where you were coming from. My advice would be not to waste your energy branding it and let it drop.

it's not a common word, it would leave the visitor a lot of figuring it out before he comes into that conclusion. it's a good made up name btw subjected to anyone's conclusion could be.
and it's reg fee if you want to appraise it.
