I do not have any knowledge and experience in the field of domain names, but I think that this type of investment can bring very good dividends.

I'm interested in a strategy for selling domains and everything related to it.
In the short term, I want to get a small additional income from the sale of domains, about 15%, and for 5 years I am going to earn enough to go on a trip around the world for a year or two.

Why exactly this industry? The Internet is the main communication channel of the modern world, and this channel should be used to the maximum.

I'm a bit of a newbie and from my other experiences in life I have 3 answers re: "What is this industry"?: 1st it's like the U.S. physical real estate industry/market where people see lots, homes buildings etc... 2nd: It seems similar to the U.S. wall street stock market and I keep hearing about wall street investing in the global domain industry. 3rd, it's an opp for some who are called to use the industry for business and making money that does good in the world- makes the world better, makes lives better.

I can't. I saw/read that Wall St. was investing in the INDUSTRY BY WAY OF making its presence known. I could have been clearer because what I said could be interpreted as Wall St. investing in the industry's domain NAMES. You may want to keep aware of news items in: https://www.dnjournal.com as they seems to be supported by Wall St. and Wall St. media like Bloomberg. Did this help?

Good luck! There is a steep learning curve, so be sure to not invest a lot at this stage.

On the other hand, getting your feet wet is important too to really learn.

So the best advice would be to actually read for couple of months around this forum, then acquire around 10-20 names for around $500 total and then actually try to sell them by doing outbound.

Although I personally have close to zero focus on outbound, it helps to gauge how buyers think, what can be a good name and what not etc.
