Nahoul the Bee vows to continue on the path of martyrdom started by Farfour -- a Mickey Mouse lookalike who preached Islamic domination on the Hamas-affiliated children's television program. Farfour was beaten to death by an Israeli "terrorist" in a recent episode.

Same stuff - different day.. it's scary stuff but it's actually beginning to make sense to me. I mean we preach to kids in Sunday School.. in some ways, it's much the same mindset.

For the mass majority of Sunday schools in America, teaching kids about Christ and obeying God includes teaching peace and love for your fellow man. A cutesy show which teaches kids to hate and kill others and martyr themselves is just a grotesque parody of Sunday school. I didn't watch this one, but the last one I watched made me want to puke.

Yeah, my Sunday school analogy may be a stretch but I think their interpretation of it would be the closest thing to that... Have you seen Jesus Camp? They don't preach hate.. but some Christians tend to feel if you're not "fer us, yer agin us", especially in the part of the country I live in. Some people won't talk to you if you don't go to "their" church.

Not talking to someone and blowing oneself up to kill someone are two entirely different things.

There are always the nuts out there using one name or another or one religion or another, but the fact remains that there are not mainstream Christian networks - funded by governments - preaching suicide bombing. I'd say there aren't really any Christian networks running on TV preaching this stuff. Preaching sinners go to hell, sheol, hades, whatever is fine but this saying take this into your hands in kill the person.

There's a clear line there for me.

Dunno if that's it or not, but I should have bookmarked a page I saw yesterday that was mainly Old Testament quotes that advocated stonings and violence and such.. I think a certain segment of the Islamic people still take the Q'uran a bit too literally (tho they wouldn't see it that way).. the mindset between the Q'uran and the Old Testament can be very close.

No, suicide bombing is against the Islamic religon. Suicide is forbidden (like most religons). Suicide bombing was unheard of in Iraq until the overthrow of Sadam

These are the rights that Islam confers on combatants:

* No one should be burned alive or tortured with fire.
* Wounded soldiers who are neither unfit to fight, nor actually fighting, should not be attacked.
* Prisoners of war should not be killed.
* It is prohibited to kill anyone who is tied up or in captivity.
* Residential areas should not be pillaged, plundered or destroyed, nor should the Muslims touch the property of anyone except those who are fighting against them.
* Muslims must not take anything from the general public of the conquered country without paying for it.
* The corpses of the enemy must not be disgraced or mutilated.
* Corpses of the enemy should be returned.
* Treaties must not be broken.
* Muslims are prohibited from opening hostilities without properly declaring war against the enemy, unless the adversary has already started aggression against them.

Rules for Jihad in Islam

A military Jihad has to be obey very strict rules in order to be legitimate.

* It must not be fought to gain territory.
* It must be launched by a religious leader.
* It must be fought to bring about good - something that Allah will approve of.
* Every other way of solving the problem must be tried before resorting to war.
* Innocent people should not be killed.
* Women, children, or old people should not be killed or hurt.
* Women must not be raped.
* Enemies must be treated with justice.
* Wounded enemy soldiers must be treated in exactly the same way as one's own soldiers.
* The war must stop as soon as the enemy asks for peace.
* Property must not be damaged.
* Poisoning wells is forbidden. The modern analogy would be chemical or biological warfare.

These suicide bombings are done by people that are following their own code of law, not the law of any religion. If somebody wants to kill they will justify it with anything. Suicide bombing, terrorism...these are the products of a sick mind, not religon.
