.tv MySpacetv.com, Not Myspace.tv??

This comment was just posted last night in Frank's blog.

"Would not have expected this from Richard Rosenblatt's former alma-matter, given he's relaunching the .TV namespace through demandmedia.com"

Please tell me this is a typo or a mistake or something. Richard pretty much founded myspace!!!!! A .tv extension for myspace tv would be huge for .tv, but alas, once again I'm disappointed... Geesh, are we live in crazyland right now?!?

This is going to get interesting really quick. MySpaceTV versus Me.TV, especially since MySpace already has a huge user base of free members and Me.TV wants that crowd.

Ok, on the one hand I am not surprised. On the other, Rosenblatt should be falling out of his Gold Plated Helicoptor trying to get MySpace to use a TV extension. Although those wacky folks that own MySpace could swallow Demand, verisign and enom without batting an eye and never even worry about the competition.

If he can't convince them then maybe he should just tear off 1 of his high-end premium .tvs in exchange. It wouldn't cost them any actual capital...

I didn't check the debt etc... but with much better return on cap and stronger P/E, oh, and not to mention 10X the market cap and 16X the profit, NewsCorp IS a much bigger player, but I don't think Verisign is looking too attractive right now.
