Hello! I would be interested in everyone's opinions on Myrtle.tv

For anyone unfamiliar, Myrtle Beach it is a very popular vacation destination in the states and is commonly referred to as just Myrtle.

Thought I would bump this post as I would like as much information as possible on the domain. Thanks!

Do people in Myrtle Beach call it just Myrtle?

Many of them do. I had a friend that lived their years ago.

We have a tendency to shorten everything in America. Many places are popular enough that just one word is all that's needed. In the Midwest and eastern part of the U.S. it is commonly referenced as Myrtle. Another beach that works the same way is Daytona.

I think they call it MB, people are lazy.

Good name in my mind. I would only sell to end user. Wouldnt take less than $5k

I appreciate the insight, guys. I thought it was pretty decent too. Although I'm clueless when it comes to pitching to an end-user. I've got some studying to do.

I have a little experience with touristspot.tv type domains -- I personally recommend that you develop it. It's a great domain for seasonal videos, real estate promotions etc. and a cinch to monetise if you have a foot in the local market (eg. through promotion of Myrtle Beach area businesses.)

I appreciate everyone's insight on this domain name. I wish selling weren't so hard because I could really use some enduser money right now hahaha.

Any additional ideas from others?

I tried listing this in the high-priced domains section but it never got approved. I know this carries a value of at least $1K. I believe what is hurting me is the fact that I hand-regged it a little over a month ago. I strongly disagree that age makes a domain valuable. I'll never understand people who buy into that nonsense.

How do you know?

Sorry to bump an old thread but where should I try to sell this name?

The keyword is not the issue here.

It's the combination of the keyword + extension that is the issue.

Explaining the keyword to the end-user is a no brainer.

It's explaining and selling the extension where the problem lies.

Reseller = Low $xx (to someone looking to develop).

End-user = Low $xxx to maybe $1,xxx. Depends on if you can sell ice to an eskimo.
