I know it is hard to find any mortgage DN so when I saw this one had dropped I thought I would take a chance on it.
Was it worth regging?

Thanks

It's a misspelling for one thing, as the correct spelling is mortgagor. It's a somewhat common spelling mistake though as Google shows about 10% as many results for mortgager as for mortgagor, which is not too bad. Still, that pretty much eliminates most potential to sell it to an end-user, and unless MyMortgagor.com is a well-established site with a lot of traffic, I think you're looking at reg fees. Good luck though.

I just Googled it to check and came up with this:

mortgager - definition of mortgager - The borrower in a mortgage agreement. Sometimes spelled mortgager. also called mortgagor.

I looked at many different definitions and it appears you can spell it either way.

I hope so anyway

That may be, but the fact is that mortgagor is used 10 times more than mortgager, so whether it's an acceptable spelling or not, its value is severely cut because of that.

Also, what exactly would you develop on the domain? A site for lenders? MyMortgager wouldn't really be a place for borrowers since they ARE the mortgagor. Also, another thing to note is that borrower is by far the more used term anyways. I work at a national appraisal firm and have been for 2 and a half years, and have heard "mortgagor" maybe 10 times while we say "borrower" or "homeowner" in dealing with almost every single order that comes in the door. The OVT search amount is low for mortgagor (435) and even less for mortgager (60). Borrower isn't even searched a WHOLE lot (1337), but is sure used a whole lot more (24,100,000 Google) than mortgagor (1,210,000) or mortgager (138,000).

How many times had you ever heard someone say MyBlog in the real world---never
i am not saying it is the greatest name but just easy to remember
I have seen some crazy prices for mortgage names and of course all the good ones are gone so us late arrivals to the game have to reach sometimes :)
And why not have a site for lenders to go to-----Customers could go and post what they would be willing to pay in interest for a mortgage and lenders could compete :)
