Mybb rocks!

I am using it for my new forum, and it really is a great forum script. I used phpbb before, and mybb in my opinion is much better...and the best thing it's free and they offer a great support at www.mybboard.com.

I've tried MyBB before but I'm still a fan of PHPBB. There seems to be more people that use it, and therefore more templates and hacks.

i have used phpbb for one month, but i dont like it that much. It's not that developed, and heavily relies on MODS. Need lots of modification before you can actually realease your forum.

I agree that there not many skins, but you will be suprised about the mods. Many are available, and many members of the mybb work on cool add-ons everyday.

Its a decent BBS, but its far from being "great" as aboujouj83 suggests. In terms of free options, SMF is a much tighter off-the-shelf BBS, and when heavily modded, phpBB comes out on top. Still, paid software is always the way to go.

It's not the script but the skill to use it and mod it. MyBB is indeed nice, but a script is good only if the admin will start thinking outside the box and try modify it to be unique. VBulletin is great too, but so many people think they have a good forum just by installing it :D

MyBB is a great software I use it on my free host. http://retect.com/forum it is very nice.

I have heard of this and my friend swears by it. I, myself have not used it yet. Once I get a site up I will have to give it a shot.
