Hello there,

I'm Ravi from Dubai, UAE. I've recently created this one pager website www.ask4templates.com. It's a product website dealing in templates, utilities, ebooks, et al.

Well, I needed your suggestion on whether product based websites like these should be one pager with a lot of scroll down like I've done or should it be short pages with several clicks? :-/ Also, is it a good idea to use design templates?

Thanks and Regards,
Ravi

People generally don't like to scroll on pages. I would make it multi page, and make something original. Don't use a template.

I don't like how almost EVERYTHING is on 1 page, try adding some more pages :)

Hello Ravi,

Appears to be a very useful sight for Web Designers. Nice layout, but looks somewhat congested.

so...youre basically selling all the templates that you bought off another person?

no offense, but i hate this..i wish people would make their own templates these days.

i purchased that very template pack for something like 9 bucks. some of them are ok, some arent, but never would i resale them for over twice their price.

id highly reccommend you study those templates and create your own, unique ones.

It would look more professional if you had several pages.

Another Template Design Rip Off - Saturated Market

Is there actually any money to be made in sites such as this now to even justify the time spent piecing one together? I realise that there is money in selling templates, but now so low grade. It would become a full time job to even scratch the surface with regard to competing with the big boys.

Another thing I hate about common web templates is kitch pictures of ppl apparently enjoying themselves, shaking wads of cash or stuck in mannequin like catalogue poses presumably creaming themselves at the thought of the incredible product they have recently purchased from your site.

Let it go already, stale ideas!!!!

I have never, ever been a fan of having 1 long scrolling page. Trust me, you will lose so many viewer because the content is so overwhelming. I agree with the others and use different pages, or if you know how to build dynamic web pages using a database that will also work. I am also not a fan of people buying web templates. Let's say if there is something wrong with the code they will not have any idea what to do since they are not experienced with hard coding. You should create tutorials!

Image quality is bad on some images, the colors used are nice but the whole layout looks very messy and very hard to navigate in IMO.

Needs alot of work! ;)

its pretty good,
actually there isn't that much content on it...
but when you go down the page a bit the template dissapears and all you see is text :(

The templates that you 'skewed' to make look dynamic look like crap. if you can't tell what they are, then you did it too much. save as .gif is a good idea.
