2 New Designs - Which Should I Use For My Site?

Hey Everybody,

I currently run/own http://www.400fonts.com. As you can see the design is pretty bad. I'm now making V2 of the site and I have two designs I made to choose from, both which are much better than the original.

Design #1:
http://www.400fonts.com/V2/
This design is very professional I think and certainly looks very good. (Not coded properly yet, obviously).

Design #2:
http://www.400fonts.com/v22/
I haven't even coded this one yet. Personally I prefer the first one but I like this one to because it's more of a laid back design and has a nice color scheme.

Please tell me which one you like more. I would very much appreciate your opinion on your chosen design as to whether you think it is good enough and looks as good as other well established font sites e.g. www.1001fonts.com, www.dafont.com.

Thanks Guys! I'm hoping to pick the design I use very soon and setup V2 with all it's new features within the next 48 hours and then promote my site like crazy.

Everyone so far has said #1 (I've posted on other forums).

Now that I've chosen #1 my goal is to get it as good as http://www.1001fonts.com. Please tell me how close it is to being as good as that and what changes should be made to make it as good. Maybe it's already as good? Or maybe you don't think it can be.

Compared to the other 2 sites, with http://www.400fonts.com/V2/ - you're on par. Yours looks a bit more organized then the others, but a tad bit too bright. Maybe you can tune down the backdrop from bright white to an "off white" or a different color.
Work on the logo, the header and add some other custom elements that will continue to make your site stand out from others. Such as, if a webmaster comes along to pick up a font, offer them a thumbnail on your site. It gets the message across that your site is used and simultaneously functions as link exchange. Once your logo is created, use it as favicon as well.

All your suggestions are going to be added into V2, +repped you. I'm really glad for all the great help I've been getting over various forums and I've got alot of work to do on the site now (which I'm happy about).
