Hello,

A few weeks ago, I randomly checked the site, and discovered it was available for registration!
So I tried to register the domain name and got the error message: "You currently do not have enough domain credits to complete this transaction... " I asked support to reg it... but now i see that the domain is taken by another person. How to be sure people won't steal my idea during a reg.?

Best,
Russel

Use a different registrar perhaps? I actually noticed this with certain registrars going back years.

Best thing to do is take your business somewhere else honestly. Namesilo is a good one.

They do that all the time; bad breed are all over! One time, I tried to register a domain, one registrar said is not available and the other said it is taken. So I quickly registered the name from where is it available; I got it registered.

Looks like it's a domainer from Turkey, who has lots of double letter brandables and has registered this one 2 months ago...so probably just a coincidence and if you ask, you will find a few others domainers who had that name on the list at one time.

Need new domain registrar that can understand long term honest customers relationships; moreover, a registrar that are willing to go extra miles on solving problem; in any area of domain issue. Don't just tell me "oh you might need to contact Mr So&so." Etc... :ahhh:

I know, but now they are a trend right now, BB and BR they are accepting lots of them and there are around 30 domainers who buy all good double letter domains, starting with BB manager. 6 months ago you could find a lot of them available....try to find now a good one.

It is entirely your fault! Must you use one registrar when you have numerous options to pick from? I had a similar experience at namecheap for one .co.uk domain that I had wanted to register. They debited me but the domain name wasn't registered. I quickly went to Godaddy and had it registered there while namecheap refunded me.

Simple!

Beware! Netfirms can steal your domains. I recently tried to register a domain name MEGAGREAT.COM

and now the domain is gone...

@RU Not saying that it wouldn't be possible for registrars to steal domains from registrants. But I doubt they do it. More likely your domain has been on some other domainer's list too, especially if it had been on a recent drop list.

Almost 3,500,000,000 people using the internet and someone has "stolen" your idea.

If a good domain is available for an attractive price, handreg or otherwise, you'll need to buy it right away. Or someone else will. IMO...

Never wait around on registering a domain. This is the domain industry, where there is always someone one step ahead.

Same here. I successfully registered a domain on Halloween. The next day, I received an email from Godaddy pasted below. A moment ago, I checked the WhoIs and it's still showing up as GoDaddy registered on Halloween. I'm did get the mentioned credit, but am waiting on the refund (of $5). At least they paid me for stealing my domain.
