domain My first domain - als0.com

Hello, this is my first post as a new member who is trying to join this market. I hope this will be the first one of many others.

Yesterday I bought my first domain:
als0.com

I'd like to know what do you think about it and what is it the best way to develop it. Right now I just bought the domain, no other things like security, hosting and things like these offered from godaddy, which is the site from which I bought it.

Interesting choice for your first domain. If your name is AL, then makes sense. Otherwise, ALS is an acronym with lots of meanings.

As a LLLN (letter,letter,letter,number), here are some comparable sales:

Before buying any more names, spend some time looking at names that have sold (Namebio.com is great for this). And ask yourself, "Who would use this name?"

If you're planning to sell it, you need to think of why somebody might buy it. I'm having a hard time coming up with any idea of a commercial use for als0.com.

Well... I found this domain interesting because it's 4 characters, pronounceable and with a play on the word "Also" (I'd avoid mixing letters and numbers too but I guess it's better this than having a same pronounceable LLL0 pattern that doesn't resemble any words).

I'd say that this domain brings many ideas as Silentptnr wrote, but, at the same time, there isn't a clear one for a commercial use, as PotatoeSalad said. However, if there was a clear commercial use, it would probably be a really valuable domain (being 4 chars), and I am not considering it as such, indeed... but for 10$/year it is a bet I like to make even only to join this new world!

I promise you that you will look back and you will see a big difference in the quality of names you will decide to invest in. Going forward you should do all you can to resist your early, learning stage, impulses. If you can do that, you will do well.

I recently bought something similar

K1D in king and I was thinking number one kid.

I like the op's idea but his implementation is lacking. You cannot really market the word "also" because it does not translate into anything more than furthermore. So adding a number to make it als0 makes it a good first attempt but not a hit.

I had never considered buying a short domain with a number to look like a letter but in the right circumstances it can work.

Especially if you add a quick graphic..
