Now obviously it may not be an actual platinum name, but in deciding whether to renew you feed the name through this and that and compare x to y, etc. and then make a decision based on the renewal cost and liklihood you will develop or sell the domain or hedge against parking revenue (or just be stuck paying renewal year after year)... then you wonder.. damn that domain I let expire.. I wonder if it is still available.. it would be a great idea for.. especially now with corona etc.... uhgg.. platinum domain reserved name. Bugger.

Lol, I feel you. Have had that happen to several of my domains have let drop over the years. They have become reserved or premium or platinum or whatever. But whatever, just because the registry re- designated it as such, doesn't mean it is platinum or that it would ever would have sold.

Better just to leave it in the rear-view mirror. :)

It happened to me too.. Why worry, since you dropped it for a reason? For a trader, too much emotional attachment is not good. Also domaining is subjective. Sh** happens.

But, If I had a plan to develop it, I would sulk too. :)

if it makes you feel any better, I dropped UGXX dot com
I have also dropped developed sites with SEO traffic generating low x,xxx a month and japanese spammer is slinging casino or some things I don't understand.
Sometimes things go out of control

I sold a site for 32K, owner made over 100K later because I had scheduled posts and also got google lucky a few months after the sale, but site dropped during a google update and instead of asking me for help, he left the site to expire. I think he was an investor with no clue about websites.

Now the site is some dubai real estate company lol
