Hi, very strange thing.
I bought a domain and I am sure I saw it on my GD account and because of that I confirmed to the seller the success push.
It was 2 weeks ago.
Today I entered my GD account and I have there only 20 domains so I paid attention that the domain was desappeared.
I check my conversation with the seller and I was right it was GD push and my answer with confirmation.
But the domain wast at my GD.
The WHOIS tells the owner is some chiness and showed the reg date as 28 of Sept 2015 and this is the correct date, but I bought it and it was mine!
I dont understand, I sent massage to the seller but still have no answer.
What can it be?
The seller is from here and I dont thing he is scammer, but how the domain could came out my GD without any alert massage from GD?
I have activated 2Factor security or what ever does it name.
But this the fact, WHOIS says a chiness name and the domain is not at my GD account.

every time i have a name(s) pushed into my gd account i got email from godaddy with "Your domain transfer was completed successfully" and a list of names transferred in.

have you received this confirmation for the name in question?

Did you enter the authority codes correctly?
Did you make sure that your correct email was given to him?
If it did get transferred to you, did you make sure your email was in the contact info
I've bought domains that got transferred to my that still had some info attached to the domain that was from the other person. I had to make sure I changed the contact info in my GD account to match mine info.

I'm not sure but I think it could be pushed to your account with the other persons info still attached to it and that would leave it vulnerable to theft by them. DNS records can also point the domain somewhere else so change those too.

Good luck

Did you login in to godaddy, manage domains. Then in top left, it says domains with a pointed down arrow. You click that and it says Transfers, Pending account changes. You should need to confirm Did you at any point go there and accept the transfer , or account change if it was already reg at godaddy?
Not sure of time to accept pending account change or accept transfer.

Time to accept transfer is 10 days.

because the push failed due to your non-action, so just contact him to send the domain to you again.. there is no chinese involved at all and this 10N has NOT be resold to anyone else, just gone back to your seller and it is still with him..

sigh... his email is [email protected] (according to Whois)

now it would be in your own best interest to send him an email if he doesn't react to your PM.. at least no need to panic or escalate as this domain has not been resold at all.. i am out of here now since this case is glass clear.. good luck

I always keep notepad with all the domains I've purchased and cross them off one by one when I see them in my GD account.

Good idea! What makes keeping track of GD expired domain purchases a whole lot more difficult now, is the recent GD "upgrade" to various interfaces. Previously when I went to Order History in my GD account, I could bring up any invoice and it would show the name of the expired domain purchased.

Now only the new regs and renewal invoices show the domain name. Any invoices for expired domain names purchases are just the $$ amount and no name. What a nightmare come accounting and tax time, let alone keeping track of refunds etc. The GD emails are now the only proper record. I did contact Joe Styler at GD and he said he would forward the issue to the developers, but essentially "no-on else had noticed this…"

He hasn't ignored you. He offered to push the domain again. Yes/No? which it seems you don't want to accept? Yes/No? I'm sorry. But I haven't understood clearly the whole argument about 9/10 char domain. But in any case 9 or 10, I think it's still worth $20. IMHO.

It is strange but I cant find this mail, also I paid attention I have no my confirmation to the seller.
Usually I do it, I post "recieved".
Maybe he forgot and sold it again?
His last visit here was 21 of January.
And he still didnt answer me.

I think you forgot somethings. Think about more. Maybe you will find it.

Godaddy sends notification emails for all process.

Maybe he did not transfered it to your account, or he transfered it butyou forgot to accept it and domain returned to his account back.

You have to ask the seller.

If seller does not reply to your messages and payment was made through PayPal, you might want to open a dispute right now while it is time. This might help getting some replies from him.

I sent him PM yesterday, still no answer.
His last visit here was 21 of January.
If he will not answer, I will open dispute in PayPay, but I want the domain I paid for. .

If he sold the domain to another person, you will not get that domain back.
All you can wish for is getting your money back.

Yup, domain is gone for good unfortunately, at least make sure to get ur money back and next time practice the push/transfer process at GoDaddy.. can be a bit tricky with the final confirmation step necessary for the transfer/push to complete

ps: moment! i think you are simply confusing 858888858.com (9N) with 8588888858.com (10N)..
the former one has belonged to that chinese from registration date on, while the latter does indeed belong to a US citizen (David George) and has an update stamp from 1st january.. check this first before you go file a dispute with paypal..
