discuss My Chinese Domain Analytics Spiked

I forward all of my Chinese domains to 8888(xyz). Running analytics on it.

It was quiet for a while with around 100 uniques per day (Roughly 3,000 domains - 1,200 which are 5L's). All of a sudden, it's jumped to 615 uniques. Pretty gnarly change practically overnight. Very good sign for 5L's and other similar domains. Although, a better sign would be a bulk offer to buy all of them

There was a big 5L buying spree happening over the past days, organized by some investor groups.. maybe their bulk searches did trigger those uniques if they did not only check against Whois status but also (technically) visit the url's by performing http prompts..

just a possible reason for the spike..

I only get spikes about every 5-8 days.... usually 7-10X once per week.... bizarre. I have some names which are "CHIPs" by definition that get 80-100 hits per day, then once per week 1200-1500, but all US traffic? Hmmmm

I was getting some huge hits from Mexico. It has stopped now, luckily.
