My $50 Challenge

Today me and my father was sitting back talking about what I actually do online for money etc. I told him about selling domains and web development. He then came up with a challenge. He invested $50 and said if I can turn that $50 into at least $100 in 2 weeks I can keep it, if not, I owe him $50.

Hm, so I am turning to NP members to help me with ideas on how I should deal with this small task at hand.

But seriously, investing on the internet is usually more long term than 2 weeks. I would recommend buying a site or developing one and advertising it to earn the money... but it may take more than 2 weeks depending on how much time you invest.

Agree with Fewski ... go back and ask your father for (at least) $500, and then at (at least) two months! :lala: :imho:

I'll lend you $50, show it to your Dad & then we'll split his initial $50.
But seriously you might need to change the duration (if you are going to invest the 50 & expect a return), either that or keep the initial $50 & start offering your services (article writing, forum posting, dog washing etc.) Here you should be able to pick up enough bits of work here to make 50 in 2 weeks. I reckon it could be done.

Invest in a good keyworded name, create a db driven site, nice design ($10 and your time invested) - spend 3 days dumping a shed load of information if not 5 dys into the DB and then sell.

This'll give you 7 days to sell it. Speak to a few people, network, and post it on multiple forums and sell it for $60, there's ya $100

You can in theory do that in Adult! Most affiliates pay out 35 or more for signups - you'd only need a couple to make your money but to do it you'd have to invest the 50 in having traffic sent to the site - it would be tight but you could make it.

$50 isn't much, but it's enough to have a little fun with. I'd suggest taking a page from the real estate business and look towards buying an ugly or distressed website for $50 with the goal of refurbishing it and selling it for triple.
