Hello Fellas,
It is becoming increasingly simpler to download "pop" music 'free' via the p.c.
(my son uses a site called LimeWire), however, I would appreciate it if a fellow member can suggest a site where it's possible to download popular music of the 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's?
Although many sites feature the more commercial music of Sinatra, Ella, Billy Eckstein and the like - they dont seem to have an extensive library that covers the majority of these "golden oldies".
Any suggestions please, people?
Thanks to any replies.

I've tried kazza, thanks, but it seems all very "pop" orientated.
Yes, I mean a free site.
Anyone else out there know of a site with a comprehensive library of "real"? music?
Thankyou.

in all honesty most file share programs are going to be pop orientated as anything that is on their is what other users share and pop being the style of music the majority like that is what they will have.

Yes there will be some very old music but very little.

If I were you I would take a look at Real Rhapsody. They have an extensive collection of all types of music, and after a quick search of the names you mentioned, they're all listed and available for play. It's $10 a month but well worth it IMO.
