RJ you make a great point I was thinking thing the same thing MSFT is almost becoming like David to Googles Goliath in search anything everyone rooting for David. THis is good for MSFT they can accomplish More with a public perspective like this rather than as a monopoly.

Still tends to give less good results than google from the average surfers viewpoint in my opinion. The sorts are a great feature though.

I have to disagree. In fact, I have the complete opposite experience. Google consistently continues to spit out blogs and broken links as well as completely unrelated material for me. I use MSN and yahoo when I am serious about finding what I am looking for.

I have said it from the beginning when Google was picking up speed. Google is only popular becasue they understand PR (no, I don't mean Page Rank, either, I mean public relations). It is all about hype. Google=hype. Google managed to be so popular not by actually being a good search engine but rather by telling everyone and their friends to tell everyone and their friends that Google is the best. But in reality, it is a cut-rate search engine (from my experience, anyhow).

This is good news after google announces that they will delay new submissions plus it will provide another choice for major search engines.

MSN new search is horrid. In my view the results are randomly pulled from a database! (Okey, I mean relevancy is bad) and its not to fast. I shall be sticking with Yahoo for now, I expect MSN search will get better after time but..
