Hey, i'm thinking of buying a new mp3 player this weekend exclusively for my workouts...and I thought you might have a recommendation for me.

I am a runner, so i need something with a flash memory. Right now i've got something with internal drive (skippetty skip skip) so i think flash memory is the way to go. You don't know how frustrating it is to be down 1/2 a mile and all o f t h e s u d den t h e mu s ic s k i ps >:(

With so many choices, i think i must have done at least 3 weeks of reasearch on this thing so far....you'd think i was buying a car :p ! I've gone through at least 4 mp3 players in the last 5 years,

I've narrowed it down to:

Creative MuVo Micro 1GB
Samsung YP-Mt6z
JetAudio U2 1 GB

And of course, Apple Nano ...but i don't like the fact that you HAVE to use I tunes...

any suggestions????

I liked multi-purpose gadgets, I'd buy myself a pda that could play mp3's if I were you. Maybe a Palm or something, get an app for tracking workouts too =) just a suggestion.

I sometimes jog with my Palm Zire 71 + 1gig SD and there's no skip. Great organizer too.

But if I were to choose from the choices above, I'd go for Creative.

i ordered the iriver u10 (2gb) and should be here with in the next week.

When i was looking around i also cosidered the creavite MuVo Micro 1GB so out of the ones you have listed that one is the one to go for

thanks,

I have an iPod Nano and they're amazing. I think iTunes is the best media player i've ever used too, dunno what your problem is with it. But if you do get one...pay the extra for a case. The scratching is it's only downfall.

I use Motorola's m500

Works well, sometimes it lags, but otherwise, works great.

It's actually my girlfriend's MP3 player, but she got an Ipod.

Lucky her - those black 30Gig Video Ipods are SEXYYY

Ipod Nano is the obvious choice, regardless of its 'Fashion Statement' ('Ness) the click wheel/nav makes it better than the rest.

However, Creative Zen are up there nowadays and if you're looking for a phone as well - Get a phone with an MP3 Player such as a Samsung D series.

Go with Samsung YP-Mt6z, or one of the other Samsung YP's...
