Hello everyone,

First of all, thanks to everyone for the support and encouragement on the step of leaving Afternic. It’s been a hectic day as it’s not easy to switch to a different lander and make the necessary changes. I forgot to mention in my previous post that I’ve delisted all of my domains at Afternic and Sedo which will not get me any sales via their distribution network. I wanted to go all-in with the new move and see how it goes.

After careful consideration, I finally decided to move my domains to Efty.com which is offering some great features. I’m still in the testing phase and it will take some time to get adjusted.

On a side note, I wanted to share that both my sons are still using the Afternic “price request” lander and will continue to do so. The reason behind this is that they’re in their initial stage of settling down and I think Afternic is still a good choice for them.

A good thing for using my own lander is that I’ll be quoting the price after rechecking the domain and if the current price is set low, I can readjust and quote accordingly.

In the coming times, I’ll be sharing the experience of using Efty and how sales are coming up as well.

It would be nice to see some of you sharing their experiences using Efty landers.

Thank you!

Is Efty free for you?

This Efty Article from March 2025 says they charge 5% commission.

How does that work?

I'm using Efty lander and will use external escrow service for selling my domains. I don't plan to use EftyPay and pay 5% commission.

If any buyer wants to use GoDaddy checkout link or any other escrow service, buyer will bear the escrow fee.

Didn't realise that was an option.
I assumed every lead would be automatically finalised through EftyPay.

By the way, this "External Escrow Service" you speak of. Is it going to be free?

Also, what does Efty get out of the deal with you?
Monthly subscriptions?

If I don't use EftyPay (their escrow service) then I end up paying only monthly fixed subscription fee.

Any external service like escrow.com, DaaZ.com, Sedo.com, EscrowDomains.com isn't free and I'll put the escrow fees to be paid by the buyer as usual while using any external escrow service.
