Hey all, does anyone of you know a statistic about which keywords in domains sell most or best according to domain names?

I'm asking because I often develop new brandable domains and would like to focus on prosperous keywords and business sectors.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,
Sebastian

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I don't think there is an easy answer to that.
Windows is a recognisable brand, but good luck in using that.
Ebay and Sony are made up words, and not based on any keywords.
Meerkat is a marketing concept, and they don't own the .com
Asda was formed from the name of an old company - Associated Dairies, and is now owned by Walmart

Kuffy, I'm looking for keywords, not brands... for example "spot" (spotify)

But should that be an English dictionary or an english dictionary? :)

When you're done with the dictionary, make sure to check a thesaurus. ;)

On a serious note, I think you might receive some friction asking for best selling keywords here. Mainly because a lot of domainers have curated their keyword list over the years, and publicly releasing it may create more competition for those type of domains.

That said, there's plenty of data out there if you google it. Sift through it, and overtime, you'll have your own curated list.

Try Google

That got me thinking, imagine the frenzy if .COM changed their policy to allow a difference in capital letters. For example if google.com and Google.com were considered different domains and resolved to different sites. haha - never going to happen, but a good April Fools joke / click bait headline.

They have - they are called IDNs. :)

But IDN's are a pain to type with an english keyboard. If there was a IDN key like 'SHIFT' then I could see IDNs getting more traction than spam.

@satyadeep singh look for expiring domains & use tools to mix words.
I find dozens of them daily, but I can't reg 'em all.
