More or less competition at auctions?

Those of you who bid at auctions, such as Snapnames, Namejet, TDNAM etc..Have you noticed whether there are more or less bidders than this time last year? Do you have any sense of whether the competition is fiercer or not? I'm probably not bidding as much as I did previously so don't have as many auctions to be able to judge this. Thanks for any input.

I can't comment on Snap or NJ since I don't use them, but in the last month or so I have noticed much more competition on TDNAM. The names that used to sneak by are not happening as frequently anymore, and the mid tier domains are going for higher prices than they have been the few months before that.

I suspect that it is less fierce cause of the economic crisis?

There is definately more competion for .tv's on both Namjet and Tdnam. Just after christmas I was in two .tv auctions at Namejet with 37 bidders in one and 16 in the other!
At Tdnam, as Brad says, names that I used to watch and snap up when there were no bidders are rarely happening anymore.

I do participate in a few snapnames auctions and they are as competitive as they were a year ago. However tdnam has benefited thanks to the ever increasing usage of freshdrop. Not even infos are spared there...

Yep, I agree!

TDNAM might have a bit more due to people looking for Great Deals and they just figured out that TDNAM offers them!

I think there is far less competition at snapnames lately, seen some nice names go for a song...bought a few too

Nice time to buy if you have lots of spare cash sitting around (which I don't) ...selling them in the short term is another matter !
