Moniker and Snapnames

Hi Guys

Trying to get into a Moniker account that I dont remember the password for. Have called the number but it says that they are closed! Im in the UK so thats probably just cost me a few pounds for nothing.

I have basically won a domain name through Snapnames. My first one. I would have assumed that they would ask what account I wanted it to go to. Nope they have given me the account number its been allocated to which until someone tells me its not I have to assume is my old account.

Any suggestions on what to do? Why cant Moniker just have a system like every other site I go to when you forget your password they email you a new one. OK I should remember my password but I have so many and it was encrypted on my hard drive that got killed!

Is it worth trying to tell Snapnames to use another account. I dont understand why they decided to use the one they have.

Password security is important, but moreso is common sense.

If you have a lot of passwords, which is fine, take the time to safeguard them.

Meaning, get an encrypted .txt on your PC with your list, and print a copy out as well.

Perhaps two, store one away somewhere, and keep one fairly convenient in case you forget.

I don't know if moniker has these services, as my mouse just ran out of batteries and can't check for you, but you can see if they have a customer care email, contact us/support email, when their office hours are, live support, forums.
