We actually just got our new chat up and it's moderated 24/7 =o by jolt powered guinea pigs.

The kind of moderated chat I was looking for is one that allows for guest speakers and moderated discussions (Q&A sessions). ChatBlazer looks like it can do all of that. Though I wish it were less than $795, I'm still considering it.

hmm, looking at the screenshots at http://phpopenchat.org - their chat may have a moderated option as well
