.mobi whois is not working, anybody experiences the same problem?

As for 2 letter.mobis, those are reserved by the registry and unavailable for registration. It would be nice if they said so in their own whois. I hoped for a LL.mobi glitch in landrush and pre-regged for a bunch of them but no such luck

I just thought I found a Highly Prized single keyword.mobi

Was so surprised i even called godaddy to verify it before they took my money (figured a tm drop) and ended up placing the order over the phone.

The guy assured me it went through with no problems and I was the proud owner of that name. Then got an email right after we hung up saying it was already regged

You know what is funny, I have told a few people about .mobi recently who were interested enough to actually do a whois search. I explained that all the good names were pretty much already taken but it never hurts to check.

Of course within the first 10 or so searches they came back with "LL.mobi is available, should I register it?" This is after I explained over 400,000 .mobis have already been registered. Somehow they thought the domainers just overlooked names like NY.mobi, ID.mobi, or LA.mobi. I wanted to smack them, but I restrained myself and explained how LL.mobis are not really available and all the LLL.mobi and nnn.mobi have been registered a long time ago. :hehe:
