A while back, somebody asked if the .mobi registry had their own site up yet, but nobody was able to find any information about them, except for the many companies offering registration applications, sunrise/landrush details, and plenty of hype.

Well, here they are.... www.mtld.mobi

This soon to be released extension has already created a lot of buzz, both positive and negative, but now we have a chance to learn more about the company behind it, and what their vision is for this new "mobile" namespace.

Q: When can I start using my domain name address?

A: Once the dotmobi registry has been updated, the information in our database is shared with the Internet's zone files worldwide. This sharing process is called "propagation," because the new information about your domain spreads or propagates across the Internet. mTLD cannot control the rate at which the millions of name servers on the Internet are updated, but generally your domain should be available to Internet users within a very short period.
